Re: The O/T thread! Is there an Insurance regulating body? I want to complain.
I'm fairly sure Elephant have just implied I'm a car thief because I work in the automotive industry and have had a lot of cars, which on top of charging me £700 more than all other quotes is probably the nail in the coffin for me using Elephant / Admiral / any others in group again.

Re: The O/T thread! Today is a sad day for oldtimer drivers in Holland......
The taxfree age for cars on Diesel and LPG is going up from 25 Years to 40 years......
For petrol cars from 25 to 40 years you must pay 1/4 of a normal car and you are not allowed to drive in december, Januari, februari.......
If have two cars on LPG (whats in a name LPGO) 26 years and 35 years. so I'm fucked twice.
My BX sport on LPG is just half a year old....... 3000 euro down the drain.......
So I'm going to buy a DS or SM and put LPG in it I guess.......
In the past I've had 2 DS on LPG already (when they where 25 years old) so it's not a big deal.
I've had an SM too.... but sold it.... I was afraid for an (expensive) engine failure.

for mine a bit less, 'cause on papers it's a truck, so i payed only 75% (6euro's of tax each month) untill april 2012..
Now i have to wait and see how much it will be..
dont care about that.. ami will stay tax free.. and since I use the old bricks every day, I dont mind paying tax for it.
Tax free is nice, but not a must for me to drive old cars.. It's more about the ride, fun, meeting the people and stuff..
