Re: New with AZ 56
Do you have an filter in the fuel line? I had once in france that the internals of the fuel filter desintegrated and blocked the carb.

Re: New with AZ 56
Many thanks for your answers and document. that i will study. About the filter : there was none but I have installed one since. What is bizarre is that now the engine runs perfectly with a good idling .... until the next time ! I think that i will have to clean the tank , change the rubber pipes and have the carb professionaly cleaned . I have had the carb of my 56 AZ very well cleaned with vapour blasting by http://cbxvapourblasting.co.uk/They are specialized in cleaning carbs for the famous CBX 6 cyl Honda bike Best regards MG

2CV6 - Solex 26 35
Hello
Identifying the right Solex 26 35 carb repair kit on the Internet is not easy .
I understand that there are different carburettor versions with different fuel gaskets depending on the CIT codes and CSIC / SCIC codes :
- CSIC or SCIC according to mechanical or centrifugal clutch; and : -- CIT 197 CSIC Mechanical Clutch (1978, 2CV6 602cm3), ---CIT 198 SCIC Centrifugal Clutch (1978, 2CV6 602cm3), ---CIT 225 CSIC Mechanical Clutch (1981 to 1990, 2CV6 602cm3), ---CIT 238 CSIC Mechanical Clutch (VISA 652cm3)
For our 1987 2cv6 with mechanical clutch the CIT code should therefore be 225 . I have not found proper documentation on the different versions of gaskets so below is the result of my investigations .
Thanks for correcting me MG

Re: New with AZ 56
Hello My friend's 2CV6 has been running well for several months since the installation of a good fuel filter.
However the other day it refused to start because no power to the ignition / faulty switch under the Neiman key lock
Fortunately replacements are available from Ecas who warns " Buy this new part but please fix your water leaks to prevent failure again. "
Indeed when opening the switch, there was huge corrosion inside , apparently from winsdhield water fluid .
Note that if you open the switch , it is not possible to put it back together ( without special tools )
Thanks to Fer for his advice !
MG

You can put it together michel. It's a bit fiddly but it's possible. Put the oxydised parts in vinegar with a few spoons of salt. It will get clean. Only rinse it good afterwards.
