Re: Towing with a 2cv? Joolz, there is no way on earth you are going to hang that on the back of a 2cv and be able to drive it properly. Give it up and get a trailer.

Personally I don't like being told I can't do something or that it's too dangerous, so I'd have a go at fitting it in the body even if it meant cutting the roof bars out temporarily. Trailering is a pita because you're meant to conform to unrealistic speed limits and trailers will undoubtedly increase fuel consumption.
Otoh, if you're sure you want to tow it, the h frame towbars are what are fitted to my old yellow car, and that's on the same chassis as yours. From what I recall there are some plates above the chassis and it's held on with the bassist sandwiched between the towbar and the plates. I think. Personally I'd sooner make up a couple of tubular crossmembers and bolt them through the two rear legs and mount my towing hitch onto them.
