Got the latest software in my car, runs like a dream, driving daily from and to my work, I think the mapsensor is also good now.... got the car almost 10 years now, bought it for 200 euro, and did not much to it since...... so it was a good investment...... However it is starting to rust a little, but MOT is till oktober 2014.. went to Italy, Scotland, Sweden, Tschech, France with it . Put a Visa engine in it which broke down in France (pushrod broken at the last WM but managed to get home with it) and now theres a normal 2cv engine in it running on at least 200 versions of software 1-2-spark..... improving (mostly) on daily bases...

Spent all day on messing with the shed - fixing the headlamp bar, switching the indicator from the original wing to a rat look one I got some time ago, along with the mud flap, and finally checking the timing, both static and with a strobe and surprisingly was spot on. Then went for a spin to get some fresh juice in it and it's amazing how many people either comment on it or stare at it as you pass.....not a van for the shy, retiring type!

Finished putting J back together, grabbed some road tax and went for a spin with the roof back.

Fab being back behind the wheel... new front drum brakes just need to bed in and be tweaked a bit, but the rebuilt engine, gearbox and steering rack are spot on -

Plug here for Rick Pembro... what a good bloke. Highly recommended.

Used it last night to go to a night out. Drove it back this morning and cringed at the multiple rattles. Kingpins, wheel bearings, shocks and steering rack - take your pick and its worn

Took it out for its first journey for us - about a 10Km loop stopping at friends for a tea in the next village. Took the quiet roads there with lots of people pointing and smiling and then took the busier road back full of Ski traffic - the line behind me was pointing, but not smiling.
