IMO - most HD riders are mainly post 50 year olds who are clearly trying to hold on to their youth by buying a big mutherfucker bike but then do nothing but park it outside their gaff and rev it occasionally then go for a tootle round the block and then put it back in the garage.....why? It's like bedroom guitarists - all the gear and no idea - why do they do that too? Our bands guitarist makes very, very expensive valve amps, that are quite frankley brilliant, but the majority of people who buy them are guys who will never play them in anger in front of people......

Well, my Dad has with my money. I won't even see it until mid May Its the leader spec model so its got all the shit on it, but the engine's the 954 which is just a step up from the 652 really. Not fast, but faster than a 2cv. I don't have time for mine at the minute, and this *should* be slightly more day to day usable when I'm home without hating its guts and not rot *as* quickly. Apparently it is absolutely sound with 36k on the clock, with not one bit of rust on it, so gonna try and keep it that way. Hopefully won't have to sell the 2cv, but it will be on a SORN this year when the MOT runs out. Can't afford to keep two cars on the road when I'm only in the UK for less than half the year now. So what do we think? Good, or are have I made a huge error? It got 240 miles home cruising between 70 and 80 and didn't miss a beat apparently. Anyway whatever, hopefully it'll do me for at least this year, and is still a more sensible car that is still appreciated at 2cv events without people sniggering because I haven't been a martyr and driven a D*lly 300 miles to a field whilst at the same time still being relatively quirky and interesting.
