Finally got round to sorting my timing and re-setting the points gap after the nulon had worn in :D

Noticed my points were looking pretty black/scorched already - that normal after only about 300 miles?

could be if there is lots of blowby as it exits via the breather and the scroll on the front of the camshaft

any signs of arking and corresponding faltering idle?

Used the van as a workbench, coffee table and bunny food store today.

Tomorrow it'll be used for several full to the brim tip runs.

my brotheres 2cv--
we replace the king pins today-----
the mot twat fails ANY PLAY

he also revs the engine too full speed to check exhust emmissions
i think i will kill him or give him a good kicking if he does that to mine
