Should drive like a dream with it's reconditioned steering rack, new king pins and shocks!
:P

I need all of the above for my car too. MOT in may could be a catastrophe, I snapped the grease nipple off of the hub way back when these arms were on my red ami6, about 80,000 miles ago. At certain speeds all of the vibrations and play in all the steering components harmonises and you have to steadily slow the car down until you can control it again. And I'm still using J-Dubs spare mill.

You can wack grease in by taking of the bottom plug and use a large grease nipple that fits the hole in the king pin, using a piece of cloth to improve the seal ( an old trick that works on grease nipples ) between the nipple and pin. I found the grease went in really easily possibly due to less hydrolic resistance without the small nipple and the slot in the cap in circuit :)

Just as a post script you could use one of those taper nozzles for grease guns ..

Got a spare arm I think...
If it's just the threaded part of the nipple left in you may be able to wind it out with a stud extractor - got them too, somewhere...

Thanks, I have spare arms and I doubt it'd take much effort to remove what's left of the kingpin and grease nipple, but its time and money doing all of these jobs, and I have virtually none of either.

Morning usual trip to village to buy bread and have coffee. After lunch took Solex down to Bay de Mont Saint Michel. Rain finally stopped.

I found a fuel leak, it's too expensive to allow losses :o

Luckily tightening the clips sorted the problem.

Unluckily, the leaked fuel has dissolved the underseal from the chassis in a long stream from the point of origin to the point where it exited.

Another task added to the ever growing list.

Perhaps my mpg should improve a tad?

I forgot to mention......

Also picked up a spare engine (with ancilliaries) and gearbox too.

That should be all that's needed for the next 400,000 miles.

Or not,,,,,, 8-)
