Id go with the Lego but if you really want a painful one - how about pins and needles - my mother used to do dressmaking and the house was scattered with the buggers - running up the stairs to find youve then got a pin embedded in the ball of your big toe seems to rank high in my pain memory! And believe me, you put your hand down the back of the settee at your peril......

Re: The O/T thread! My bro (barefooted) trod on an opened corned-beef tin that the dog had swiped from the bin to lick clean and then left at the foot of the stairs. Blood, hospital, stitches etc. For anyone unfamiliar, this is what an opened corned beef tin looks like   From that day on, our family took to wearing slippers!
