Hopefully get a photo of the 2CV parked beside the world famous 'Unst Bus Shelter'

I was trying to think where the bus shelter is ......but there's a tin/corrogated Church just up the road from there ;)
One of the guys I went to the Shets with played keyboards in a local band ;)
Have you ever heard the intro to Deep Purples "Sweet Child In Time" played on a Church organ .... .... 8-)

T. ;)

I'm booked in to a remote old crofters cottage on the Shetland Mainland peninsular of Northmavine, at a place called Bardister. I didn't want to have accommodation in Lerwick or other built-up area.

North of the Glasgow Edinburgh Central belt its all rather subjective as to what constitutes "built up area"....half the land mass of the UK and only 5.5 million people most squeesed into the southern half

Well this is coming up fast, I'll be finishing work at 2pm next Thursday (15th) and will hopefully be on the road by 3pm and heading for southern Scotland (Moffet?) for the night and continue the journey to Aberdeen next day. I need to be in Aberdeen by 5-6pm to board the Ferry and it leaves for Lerwick, Shetland, at 7pm. The crofters cottage I'm booked into has WiFi so I should be able to log on here and keep folks updated. :) Keep an eye on the webcam on the link below, I'm going try and park the 2CV on Victoria Pier in sight of the cam on Saturday morning (17th).

 You're absolutely right Sean, it is Moffat

It's the traffic volume between here (Worcester) and the M55 (Blackpool/Preston), that worries me most, once past there it should be much quieter and quicker.

ha ha ha yes these things are all relative-quieter isnt necessarily quicker especially if you get stuck behind 40 tonnes of wood being transported on some of the B roads. and its nearly tattie season so expect to be stuck behind a John Dere with 20 tonnes of spuds on a trailer.
