It's ok I know not to put in normal break fluid, I'll give the tub a wiggle when I finish and top it up, then it's just a case of mopping up the leak and see what happens.

sorry was replying to james :)

Because they sell LHM!! :!: :| ,LHM=liquid hydraulique minerale ,it's the stuff in big citroen hydraulic suspension system, same stuff is used in your late 2cv brakes!

I have bought it both from a citroen dealer and GSF, GSF was cheaper.
You could have been nearer a citroen dealer than anything else for all i know, s'why i suggested it..sorry for helping out

ps just in case you dont know LHM is thin mineral oil and not ordinary dot 4 or 5 brake fluid and if you put that in it will knacker your seals.

nono i accept your help and am going to go to a citroen dealer, just was saying dont take it the wrong way!!

apologies for snapping ,frantic busy at work and chaos and your reply that said 'why would i go to a citroen dealer with a 2cv' looked like 'what the feck would i want to go to a citroen dealer for ,you numpty' :D

In some ways taking a 2cv to a citroen dealer is a bad move, but for sourcing LHM its not a bad call!

Of course, that's what i was saying, that they do sell it, and that i'd found it cheaper at GSF ..
I wouldn't take a 2cv to a main dealer thats for sure ,or any other older citroen :o
For me if there's anything i can't or don't have time to do myself i use chevronics, local to me citroen specialist not dealer.

I know what you meant Ben, I know that feeling (the getting bent over by work one). No harm done,

Right, topped up with lhm breaks feel just as kack as before, got new pads in my shopping basket online need to look at the disks as yet. Just got to wait and see if it continues leaking or if it's just because I forgot to check it for so long!
