You are correct, that is a stupid question. You'll be hammered by the exchange rate, go to the Post Office.

Yes, but...

Too much like hard work. Just hit a cash machine when you're over there.

Certainly better than the ferry company exchange rate. When I visit Euroland I tend to get an amount of euro-bobs from the PO, then use a Euroland hole-in-wall when I need to replenish.

Wonder how things are going in Belgium for the intrepid beach party crew, as there's been no little or no feedback yet.

Should they have taken firewood instead of sand?
Will the high alcohol content in the cistern prevent it freezing up, so the flush still works?
Will any videos be banned from Youtube for 'inappropriate content', just like one of my 'private' messages on this forum was deleted yesterday?

Have to wait and see, I guess...

Do you mean to say that PM's aren't private, someone can intercept them and read and delete them? Does make a mockery of the word Private.

The phpBB3 software this forum runs on has no way for administrators to read any user's private messages.

The only way in which a PM can be read, other than by logging on as the user who has sent or received a message, is by directly querying the database which sits behind the site.

That has not been done, and will not be done unless there are exceptional circumstances.

If that is the case Adrian, does that mean mods have access to our login names and passwords in order to access them. Can't believe Ken is making it up.

Umm, that was posted by 2cvadmin.

But anyway - there doesn't need to be any kind of back-door "access" to your usernames - they're on every post you make... Passwords are stored encrypted in the database, and the admins don't have access to them. 'course, if your password is something fairly obvious and easily guessable...
