old nail, do you find any difference between hals and no hals??

i perosonlly have stuci with the old bulbs wthat i had before, well even though it was one halogen and one strandard  for 2 reasons, one i havent got roudn to changing the bulb, and 2 im testing it for a week to make sure the switch and that is all good (should have faith inmyself really) the switch doesnt get at all hot any more, its freezing! could keep a beer cold.. where as before i burnt my finger on one of the metal connectors touching it..
so huge improvement

this is what i bodhed together

the wires that i deemed not thick enough, i replaced with my own, ones like the one to the switch i didnt really think it was neccasary to replace!!!

also is the wire from the relay to headlamps thick enough to cope? its standard wireing, but thought maybe replace with thicker? or is it generally able to cope?
also didnt like the way that the wires, when it splits off, the conncetor, is open, and live, if it touches earth :| so i sorted that one out!

My switch gets warm-ish with the halogens and no relays, but not really 'hot'. I've sent for two relays off ebay but all my wiring is non standard and it will take a bit of head scratching to fit them. knowing me I'll probably find something else to do until the switch overheats.
