Post 'Super 4' plugs ??
Anyone tried the Bosch Super 4 spark plugs ?
The same bit of text claiming numerous benefits appears everywhere they are sold
e.g.
http://www.ecas2cvparts.co.uk/spark-plu ... -1519.html

but I can't find any data to suggest a real benefit.

Bosch will have gone to quite an expense to add these to their line - is it all marketing ?

I guess in theory they do have some benefits over a conventional plug, but I very much doubt that they'd give a 2cv any measurable performance increase, that any other plug in good condition wouldn't.

Usually when 'Bloke down the pub' says he fitted 'brand x' and saw a big improvement, it's because his old ones were ducked, and any replacement would have had the same effect.

Bosch are held in high regard here in Australia, they not only produce parts but develop them also, they get my vote. Ze Germans know how to make stuff good ya...

I'm sure they're pretty nifty in their own way.

As to whether you'd actually notice an improvement in performance, I guess it comes down to how badly you'd want to...

Not tried these plugs but I have used NGK and Denso Iridium plugs.

in 2009 on Raid Porokusema at -20c they started the 2CV with no hesitation wheras in 2004 with standard plugs cold starting was a problem sometimes.

Currently got NGK iridium plugs in the car and they have been fine starting hot & cold in the UK. Never had any problems with the densos either.

Perhaps your hot starting problem was coil related?
