Job done - £102
I asked why such a difference? They told me that online quotes were not able to access the 'range of discounted policies' that they actually had. :| Pretty pointless web presence then if you ask me, those prices would frighten folk away.

because some people will actually buy a policy from the web (i dont know why). you know these days i think talking to people on the phone is less and less common. Unless you are a lonely old lady.

Yep, you have to phone them, and tell them you're a member of 2CVGB, to get a good quote.

Jeez! I'm afraid Footman James don't insure under 25s anymore, and I presume from your premium you must be very young, so you'll have to wait a few years if you want classic cover with them!

Really? I rang them just last week to see about putting a friend on my policy and they said they couldn't, as she's under 25. The answer you get from FJ seems to vary depending on who happens to answer your call!
