 Re: Leboncoin/eBay finds
They are. Unusual description even for Frenchies as spark plug leads are normal called candle wires [fil de bougies] They are also a bit expensive at 30 Euros, might pass on those.

 Re: Leboncoin/eBay finds
re. Seventeen. Thousand. Euros: Blimey!! Set me thinking... what can you buy for E17000? Quick Google search revealed "Prostitute priest blows 17,000 euros on sex lines" http://www.thereader.es/en/spain-news-s ... lines.htmlGumph! Suddenly, an overpriced knackered old plastic bath with an engine seems quite reasonable... which has probably convinced this enterprising couple in Madrid (one of whom has a very nice tache): http://www.thereader.es/en/spain-news-s ... euros.html They're probably on their way to S of France right now, so get in quick if you want to bag that Mehari!

Snowy wrote: Gumph! Suddenly, an overpriced knackered old plastic bath with an engine seems quite reasonable... Be fair. It's a Mehari 4x4. You'll need regular transmission rebuilds. After 80hrs of 4x4 use and 38,000km of road use, it's probably about due for one. They really are made of chocolate. So €17k is just the start. The sex-lines probably have lower ongoing costs.

Ben, from the pictures, looks like a Frome job. If you go to have a look and it's got a 'wavy' top plate, that would clinch it... ken meshking wrote: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CITROEN-2CV-ROLLING-GALVANISED-CHASSIS_W0QQitemZ160408385118QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item255915b65e
Any idea on the maker of this chassis?
