 Re: Leboncoin/eBay finds
You never know Joe, you may get more for Freddie in parts... What's Freddie's chassis like? If his chassis is ok why not do a body swap? End result would be a nice red spesh on an ok chassis and lots of green/white panels...?

Which means you sell with an MOT and somone uses it and it collapses you 'could possibly' be held liable that it was not up to the use you sold it as being legal. Not trying to put anyone down, just best be safe than sorry and sell it as spares/ repairs with a proviso that you stopped using it cos' the chassis is knackered. just cover your ass mate.

Cheers Matt! She was being ebayed as Spares or Repair but with MOT! when the words spares and repairs are there... nothing can come back on me really... everything that needs work will be stated... if she doesnt sell... i break her for parts myself to keep the new one going!

 Re: Leboncoin/eBay finds
I personally wouldn't bother saying in the ad that there's MOT on her, it's an invitation to turn up, buy it, drive it and immediately..................... Well, you're still potentially liable! When/if I sell my Disco, that'll be on a spares or repairs basis-only if/when someone buys it will I mention that there's MOT if I'm asked. That's just because of the rear seatbelt mounts too-the rest of the structure is excellent. Maybe it's just my conscience?

But, that said, I'd still feel pretty bloody awful if someone drove off in my Discovery put their kids in the back of it then one of them fell out through the N/S/R door cos the door shut/seatbelt mount was rotten!
