 tank or fuel line problem?
Took the 2CV out for the first time in a few weeks. Going well but a strong smell of petrol coming from the boot area. No obvious sign of leaks or excessive fuel consumption. Checked the connection between the filler tube and the tank, which is new, and that looks ok. Looks like I'll have to get under and get the tank out to have a look. Anyone fitted one of those extended tanks? Might be worth considering whilst I've got it out. Don

Didn't know you could get a bigger tank. Seems a good idea.
Hope you find your leak. Modern rubber is such bad quality, I'd inspect anything I've replaced.

Re: tank or fuel line problem?
Ecas and the 2CV shop both sell the extended 38 litre tank made by Burton. Ecas have a video of the fitting but it looks like it's on a brand new chassis so looks dead easy. My petrol smell only occurs after the car is driven, so could be petrol sloshing out somewhere. If I just run the engine it'seems ok. Don
