Checking all the last few items for the MOT.
Discovered the fuel tank is leaking!!!!.
Going to fit a "Red plastic boat tank" in the boot area.

Will that be OK for an MOT?

I suppose so long as it's secure it should be fine. It's no different to the 4x4s that have a standard tank in the boot really...

Monday: drove the 120 miles round to the Wye Knots' meeting and then into work for a nightshift (first part of the journey via the M5, second part lovely country lanes - guess which bit this is...)

Wednesday: drove over to the Leicestershire workshop for some pre-MOT work and a few extra bits (collect next week) The other van (also a 350) belongs to the chap doing the work

Found the reasons for the fuel "weep" on a full tank.
Old/Tired jubilee clamp and some corrosion of the tank input pipe.

New clamp.
These give an even tension round the whole clamp and are designed for fuel pipes etc

A friend called some days ago, and said her Dyane lost all but not first and reverse gears. I was very excited to see what could be wrong and make that situation. Quite soon the issue was find, but I have never seen that before...

This "ball" on gearlever was jumped out of flat stud, and because of that the gearlever didn't move like it should. Rotated that flat part a little, and the "ball" went back to right place, and after that everything works like it should...

Has someone seen this happened ever..?

Drove it to see a friend in Brighton. After about three weeks rest it started up and was its usual rorty self. I'm sure I'm getting a bit of torque steer. Haha :) Not a drop of oil dripping.

Had my picture taken three times that I noticed, on the M25. How funny - I keep getting my picture taken in the Deuche. Its quite bright I think...

Hi Jasu,
the only time I've seen it was during 2CV racing, where the pilot was rather 'excitable' or did not have that much experience of driving an A series Citroen.

At least it's an easy fix, or it is once you've figured out what had gone wrong... :)

Ken, yes, most of the time were to find what was wrong, and after finding that it was repaired in some minutes. If I could even imagine that can be possible, I wouldn't get the gearbox cover opened at all, but when it was opened it was easy to check some other possible issues at the time...

Yeaterday I had a call from very long time 2cv enthusiast, and he said he had exactly same at some years ago, but couldn't recall on what 2cv he had that. Still not very common happening..?

Now when I know that is possible to happen, next time will be much easier to handle. Need only to remove the gearstick and rotate that flat stud with thin pliers to correct position...
