Re: What did you do with your A Series today? I've done nothing to it for ages. Been gathering things to change the manifold and the angle of one the heads. Doing it tomorrow, looking forward to it and driving it after with no fumes  Also have a lovely freshly rebuilt starter to put on it. Both starter & manifold are thanks to forum peeps.

Re: What did you do with your A Series today? Spent hours on it yesterday changing the manifold. I'm soo nearly finished. Being extra thorough, I'm confident when I start it later it will be whisper quiet. Kind of...

Over the last few days new n/s kingpin, new breather, new air filter,new resin coil, engine flush, oil and filter change, gearbox oil change, heads re torqued and valve clearences. Timing checked, new plugs. Gerty's now running like clockwork. All ready to return to France next month for the summer.

Re: What did you do with your A Series today? it was warm today and i had de grille cover still on the 57. I drove to the garage and there the things didn't start anymore...coil was rather warm. So i put in the spare one and i was of again...
Did wan't to buy a mass switch but the stupid things had become very expensive....
