Coming on. Three coats of POR15 and now a stonechip coat. Also sprayed under the boot floor and stuff as the old coating was drying out a bit. Looking good underneath though actually.

Feeling a bit more positive about rust now! The hole under the quarter light window is preliminarily filled, and the top of the B pillar too. Quite keen to see how good I can get the finish on these - did some rattle can repairs on another car last year and they were the best yet, so I'm hoping to improve on that with what I've learnt. (Which is still very basic!)

Do wish I'd done this before though, it was direly in need, poor little thing.

the 2cv6 was heating up too fast so i suspected my grille cover with this high temperatures we had this week. But it turned out that the fan had sucked in much tree leafs which blocked the fan screen....

Not been on here for ages. My 2CV was twatted by a bloody big pick-up truck up here on Unst, in the Shetland Islands, five weeks ago tomorrow. Has taken time to get the ball rolling, but the local garage was given the go ahead to fix the car last week, so I have ordered a mass of stuff from ECAS and it's now another waiting game. Hopefully get the old girl fixed by Christmas. Has sustained a bent o/s/f suspension arm, a mangled bumper, wing, wing valance and smashed headlamp. Indicator has also been obliterated, along with the o/s bumper bracket. I was unhurt.

Had one good bit of news today. The third party has admitted liability for the crash. On the down side, ECAS is having problems getting the courier to quote delivery to Shetland Transport in Aberdeen. Roy's battling to get the rather big crate sent up. The garage up here is all ready to go. Bloody couriers! Chassis seems absolutely fine, it's the suspension arm that has been bent.
