Popped to WASPs for the first time in well over a year. Had already arranged to meet up with a few 2CV friends there, so ended up with 3 cars on the car park. Probably the first time the pub has had 3 2CVs on the premises in well over a year.

They are you know; for no more time spent than in the past, and still very little money.

Maybe what I should have said is that I don't have the time to look after one properly. A 65 plus hour working week and any number of other hobbies leaves very little time to do things like cure rust bubbles, grease kingpins or set timing. And if you don't look after them, they deteriorate remarkably quickly; that was ok twenty years ago when you simply scrapped a worn out 2cv and bought another for fifty quid, but you can't do that any more. I'm happier with my boring £300 Nissan for the moment because I don't have to feel responsible for it beyond the next MOT!

You should have said - I'd have been up for that one Who else was there?
