Its a transistor ignition kit that replaces the condenser and prolongs the life of the points.

I have one here that's been sitting for yonks waiting to go on the car. Fair few of the solder joins seems to have corroded from sitting in a damp garage but if it doesn't clean up I'll give you a shout?

Cheers.

stiff brush then varnish it using some gloss paint - fit it you wont regret it.

We learnt that Hammerite Smoothrite cannot be over painted with anything...PERIOD!

No warning on the tin, no warning on the website, yet a quick Google after the event and it would seem that everyone and their dog knew, except me.

****ing hours and hours of work, ruined :x

Had the same kind of problem with Brunox anti-rust epoxy primer. On some spot it peeled of the old paint like a remover and on other parts it worked perfect...Very strange...So not to try on visible spots...

Yesterday went to pick up a 42" TV that wouldn't fit in the mrs's Renault (HAHA) and today I have a wheelie bin full of five rose bushes sticking out the roof and around that six rubble sacks full of the rest of my back garden in it because WHOOP 2CV.
