Went on Raid Imber - top speed 45mph, unexplained misfire & slow running issues, wipers failed, rained on way home, had whale of a time :D

Me too. Except I went on Raid Imber, then pooled down the M4, comfortably at 75 to Hammersmith, where I danced till 2am then muffed up, opened the roof and drove home - got in at 4am.

250ish miles, no issues

Sam you lead such a fast exciting life! When I (used to) go out dancing, and such, there then had to be a period of wine, snuggling, etc. before I was ever allowed to 'muff up'...

I wager our run home was a bit more exciting than most would want with no wipers in heavy rain, driving by braille into a flaring headlit windscreen of rain drops, very difficult to find a place to pull over when it's like that! Still we did (thank you Stonehenge Viz Cent) the rain passed, after about 45mins, and we hopped on from one salt spray wiping stop to the next, about 5 miles a pop of steadyly (wot?!) disappearing vision. Tried tying string to the wipers to help them across; they were able to make about 1/4 of a sweep on their own then ran out of puff, it wasn't an unqualified success.
Roll on the next adventure!

I'm sure I took the wiper motor apart on that car and greased it all up and made it work lovely. Probably best I don't fuck about with stuff in the future.

Went back to my old work and collected my nice long 16A cables and various 13A adapters. Fed up having a lock-up 20m from the house and not being able to do any welding because the crappy reel extension i have doesn't seem to carry enough POWAAAAH!

Let the tinworm war commence :D

Drove to the West Wing in Richards Castle today to fit a new oven and grill - I had forgotten how easily a 2CV turns into a hatchback by removing two bolts on the hood/boot bar and meant I could get the oven in without taking all the seats out first which I did when buying it from Argos......Doh!
Then blasted back from Leominster with the roof off - 60+ miles at -2C was probably not the wisest thing to do but got plenty of people laughing and was only when the sun went down that I put my coat on.......
