 Re: What did you do with your A Series today? Thanks Smiffy. It wasn't expected when I left Shetland to travel down, but he had a far greater innings than even he expected, given his health history. Funeral was one of celebration of his life than one of loss. But it's hit my mother since the funeral. Ah well, back to 2CVs. I won't use mine today. I'm going to take a walk across Worcester to spend a few hours with my mother, and get the 2CV out again tomorrow. Think the forecast is good so might take a run down to the Cotswolds as it's bloody beautiful at this time of the year, and free of crowds. On the other hand I might just end up where the car takes me, which is usually the case anyway.

Re: What did you do with your A Series today? Took the engine and box out in order to put the M4, van box & 12 volts in it. Seemed a good day to start this coz of the sun, & coz Raid Imber is getting rather close.
Now stood looking @ the peddle box frame master cylinder thingy that fouls the l/h drive shaft coz Cassis put the mounting holes 1cm too far forward & wondering what to do....

Re: What did you do with your A Series today? took the battery off as it would'nt start again and found the previous owner had one fitted with not enough cranking power, so new battery to be bought.

Re: What did you do with your A Series today? Stopped looking @ the pedal box frame master cylinder thingy that fouls the l/h drive shaft coz Cassis put the mounting holes 1cm too far forward & put the M4 engine & van box in, all seems to have fitted. Will do sumat about pedal box next time...
Now worrying about the electrics....

Re: What did you do with your A Series today? Went out in the 2CV this afternoon for a 5 to 10 mile drive. When I got back I reversed it into my sister's garage and disconnected the battery. I'm heading back up to Shetland early tomorrow morning.

Re: What did you do with your A Series today? Pressure washed the mould off the roof, took it inside to dry and treated it with Fabsil stuff.
