Russell it's the amps it draws that will be the problem. The Tig set runs 240v but 32amp so it's wired with a 4 pin 3 phase socket. I wouldn't advise running it from house electrics unless you have a dedicated fuse box and plug wired in.

I'm working from home, although the wiring to the shed is pretty hefty, it used to supply a potter's kiln. But I tend to think if the power supply's not up to it you just keep to the lower settings that don't trip the fuse box.
I was looking for one with HF really, although I am quite used to scratch start, and had thought that an AC machine would be out of my budget, would probably depend what you want for it.
Has anyone else seen the cheap ones on eBay? I know cheap MIGs are a bit wank, but surely basic tigs are so simple how can they not work? Not about to take the plunge yet though, would want to here someone else's testimony first.

This is an AirCo Tig. Will probably be looking around £275, it's got a very good torch/lance on it. Will let you know the model details when I next down my workshop. You need to spend a lot of money to get a modern inverter set to weld as nice as the older sets. We use big Millers at work and they great to weld with.

I hope you spent ages laying them out, then precisely measuring the position of each one before knocking the nails in, I would have.

I did, although they came in a sewn pouch and I just measured the stitching on that which made it easier. I put the nail for the 46mm spanner in the wrong place though. It just touches the torx keys and I'm very upset about it.

Put the torx a little upwards and to the right, Seems to be place enough.. Don't like it anyway if the torx are hanging out of the board at the bottomside...

Otherwise I'm jealous again.....

I didn't move the torx keys but I'll make a new rack for them and put my new pliers and snips where they were. I'll probably never use any of this stuff, but as long as it looks nice.

I framed all my 24hr posters too. And bought some bar stools, which my nipper and I airbrushed our names on like a pair of pikeys.
