Ive been told 2 different things, the early cars are more sought after, and they are less popular than the later disc braked cars ! :)

Yeah, thought that would be the case. A lot of people will tell you that a disc brake D0lly is the best car to have and to avoid the earlier drum brake cars however a small but enthusiastic bunch will tell you a pre 77 drummer is the only way to go. Each to their own.

Properly set up drums are way more effective than discs.

especially the big Dyane 6 / Ami 6 / aks400 drums...

Also the the handbrake is ace too... Waaaaayyyy better then those pastilles at the disk brakes...

Only downside at drums is the Dot brake fluid**.. I did never try Dot 5 however....

**Dot fluid makes the brake-cilinders rusty and stuck.

But wear like fook and are a bastard to change......give me a disc braked box any day - 5 mins to change pads and if the handbrake is carefully set up is very effective - most people don't get them flush to the disc so they only contact on the very edge = shite braking power!

When are you going to start a thread on your car, Jamie?

I'll get round to it. You may have seen it elsewhere before though. It's this one...
