 Re: Leboncoin/eBay finds
In fairness, I prefer that to some of the stuff around. It's utilitarian and basic, much like an actual 2cv. Better than trying to make a practical car look like a sports car?
Although on the practicality front it's lost two seats, reduced its aerodynamics and lost its roof. Not really sure what it's gained...

 Re: Leboncoin/eBay finds
I've never had a need for more than two seats in a car, and I love cars without roofs. As for aerodynamics ... who cares? I quite like that.

So do I, compared to some of the utter sheds that pass for 'conversions' I think this one's a peach and probably fools quite a lot of people at first glance. Surprised I haven't seen it around as its local (very) to me.

 Re: Leboncoin/eBay finds
If I'm not very much mistaken, that machine was built by Alex Hosford, formerly of Two Horse Stables then Airedale 2CV, as his 'runabout'. It lived in Scarborough for a while when he'd sold it, after that I lost track of it, although I do recognise the chassis...

I practically lived at Airedale 2cv when I first had my multicoloured red spesh. I haven't seen Alex for years, but I remember him as a very competent mechanic. I'm not surprised that's a quality conversion if he had anything to do with it.
