I am a fan of the molasses method, but I think it does 'eat' the healthy metal very slightly as well. I was wondering, does anyone know if there is an active ingredient in molasses that gets used up, or can one keep on using the same mix indefinitely?

Going back a bit, about whether arc welders are AC or DC, I thought perhaps an AC arc needed HF to keep it running, as doesn't it 'go out' 50 times a second? Obviously not from what I discovered last week.

And Sean, do you know anything about these, I just bought this one and wondered if there were any known issues or recommended mods.

Anybody fancy this? Can be done in a standard road car, no competition licence or racing mods needed, and there's a bit of competition of a fiat 126 already entered.

Right then!

Father gash has just bought a Velosolex from Shepton Mallet bike jumble. The guy he bought it from is an expat living in France and he'd brought it over to flog at the show... The bike was registered new in the UK and was taken to France in 2006 - I've just checked the plate on DVLA and it has an Export marker against it.

So, how does he go about re-registering it over here? He has the Certificat d'immatriculation and 3 old UK tax discs. Is there any chance of getting the original number re-issued? Will he have to fill in a NOVA?

Any help gratefully received!

yes its got "SnapOn" making it 2wice as expensive and the sticker magiclly makes it the best tool in the world , better than the Cebora machine that it possibly is ( eu snap ons were Cebora, US might be lincoln or one of the domestic manufacturers)

No dont recognise it as a rebadged Cebora unit that i had, have an ask on "Mig welding forum" youll get all the info you need, copies of the manual and possibly more of the above

its only SIP that needs modifyig due to crappy electronic controll of the wire feed. I'd say usual stuff, new liners and grease the drive gearbox

ask Matt Smith he works for SnaPorn.
