Re: The O/T thread! Front spring snapped and took out the tyre on the way home from work last night  rang RAC and they got in touch with their garage agent in Lerwick! The guy rang me to say he tried to explain he won't be able to get to me at that time of the night as it requires two ferry crossings and they have both stopped for the night, but the RAC just couldn't get their head round the geography of the islands. I walked the two miles home at 1am, in daylight! I'm going to speak to the local garage after breakfast. I'm loving Shetland!  but I was going down to Lerwick today, but that's cancelled.

Re: The O/T thread! Midwinter sees the sunrise at 9:15am and sunset at 2:45pm. Midsummer the sunrise is 3:30am and sunset is 10:45pm.
