Post BMW 2cv at Mallory
Hi all.
Not sure if anyone has posted this, I couldn't find it on here and thought you might like to see a ratty old 2cv with a bent chassis kicking a few butts at Mallory Park on a track day.
(apologies if its up already)

Pete

I aim to please.
Unfortunately i was suffering with clutch slip, i now know you can't use an LUK clutch on this conversion, the cover plate isn't strong enough. Still, car seemed to go down well and got with in a second of the class record, not bad for a road going shed that I take the kits to school in. Fit a Quaife diff and make it a bit stiffer and I think we'd be quite near that record. The best time i recorded was a 55.51.
Ru is making a video of the hill climb, anyone want to see it?
Cheers
Pete

Nah, I'm not fussed.

By the way, I ordered some bits off my laser people last week, an 'n', 'e', 's' and a 'w'. You *might* have a surprise a Snetterton.

My best time was 135 seconds but that was in my Dyane in the lunch time cavalcade  Was your front anti roll bar meant to be disconnected on one side?

Is it one I'll like? I never quite know with you.
Being stupid it took me a while to work out what the letters were for, I was thinking, that bastard Geoff Archer, he doing his NES one first. I understand now. I will be honoured....

Yep. I took it off to try and stop the wheelspin in the tight corners, I never normally run one but the springs are a tad soft for doing competition stuff and as its primarily a road car the ARB is a compremise. Taking it off didn't help much but it was worth a try.
