 Re: The O/T thread! Same for me Tom, having tax free (pre 73) cars is great but I like them for what they are, not for the tax savings. It's not much to pay for a years motoring anyway. It must be annoying when it suddenly changes for greater expense though, such as in Lpgo's case.

Re: The O/T thread! we have the same here... girlfriends 2cv runs on lpg, so that will be much more expensive from now on..
but still 2 of the 5 cars we have are tax free (Ami and the Fiat 500)

Re: The O/T thread! ' Normal rate + 50%', for anything which involves overhead welding and the deep joy of having welding sparks landing where it hurts.
