Same for me Tom, having tax free (pre 73) cars is great but I like them for what they are, not for the tax savings. It's not much to pay for a years motoring anyway. It must be annoying when it suddenly changes for greater expense though, such as in Lpgo's case.

we have the same here... girlfriends 2cv runs on lpg, so that will be much more expensive from now on..
but still 2 of the 5 cars we have are tax free (Ami and the Fiat 500)

'Normal rate + 50%', for anything which involves overhead welding and the deep joy of having welding sparks landing where it hurts. ;)

Although I apply a 100% surcharge when welding replacement damper mounts onto 'best priiice' chassis, just for spite... :roll:

I'd want £200 a day minimum. It's a hideous job and doing it on site makes it ten times worse.
