After borrowing the coil, plugs leads, of my Car, after returning it toy car to use it, it keeps missing as of there was a dodgy connection... No dodgy connection though, Any ideas? I think I need new plugs anyway, What I may do is purchase a new coil ad plugs, use coil for other engine, and new or on this, Inputting I did which may have caused this is not use one side of coil bracket, so ht lead was touching headlamp bar... Could this be the culprit? |

Wait until it gets dark, then start the engine an spray water from a plant mister over the leads, you'll soon see if they are arcing. |

What do you mean missing? Just when it's ticking over? Mine's done it before; two spark plugs, new coil, some new HT leads sorted it, and the ones that were on weren't that old. |

i think it could be the plugs as i also borrowed these. i took the plugs out and cleaned them after it kept missing, and it is a bit better now, doesnt miss as often, so im thinking its down to plugs as especially as ive done a lot of miles on this set and they look fairly worn.. typical it being a bank holiday, no where is open to get me some plugs, so will have to wait until tuesday or whenver going to dispatch my mate to get me a box of ngk's so then hopefully ill get the problem sorted that way, if not, new coil it looks like.! im going to try another set of ht leads tomorow on my way to work so i can rule that out |

Did you leave the circuit with the coil connected into it connected for a long time? did you notice the coil getting warm? |
