Ok The saga continues with LGY 275P (the GS Dyane) All new and repaired parts back together but its not happening!!! Starts up for about a second or 2 then stops with a loud bang and flames shooting up out of the carb... Have I got myself a timing issue suddenly??? Was running fine when I first put that shit clutch in...the main thing I have touched is the distributor had the wire piece that comes from the bottomed repaired, put new cap and arm on (and I have found out it can only got back in one way)!!... all seems well ...Have also tried twisting the distributor slightly which helps a bit BUT still doesn't want to run....almost fires of the button but engine doesn't seem to catch!!! Anyone have any ideas??????? |

Had this on a 602 - the wire on the points box was shorting on the engine couling, so maybe a shorting wire/Ht lead to or from dist. does it have a coil? |

Sorry if it sounds like I'm trying to teach you to suck eggs but, are you absolutely certain you put the HT leads back in the right order? |

Ya think its an earthing problem on the dizzy...and yes have a coil (new one) That would seem to be the problem as the only thing that has changed is work on the dizzy and the wire bit that goes to the elecy ignition!!!! |
