Ages back on the 2cvgb forum I seem to recall a discussion about mounting speakers in a 2CV, particularly using door pockets from other cars. Can anyone suggest likely scrapyard candidates that would be suitable donors?

Any other suggestions for cheaply and easily mounting them gratefully received!

In my first 2cv I mounted a pair of surface-mounted speakers like these

on plywood boards, which I clipped onto the frame under my front seats. Had to turn up the sound a fair bit, but at least I didn't have to jigger about with the door cards etc.

I *think* Goat uses Rover Metro ones in his 2cv, and if memory serves they fit rather well.

This for a Dyane or a 2cv?

Do what I did and mount them into the roof.

2CV :) The roof thing had occurred to me, but I think I would be very unpopular if I approached it with a welder! Metro does ring a bell. I've found some pods to mount them straight on the door, but pockets might be quite handy anyway!

I've got pods on the front doors and a thick mdf board covered in vinyl and slung on seat rubbers where the parcel shelf goes.
I liked Russ's roof mountings. Very neat.
This'll be for Kims new Charleston?

You don't need to weld them, you could rivet them on.

He got a bargain that day. He asked me how much and i said buy me some service parts oil filter somthing like that.
Im still waiting for that oil filter is it 3 years now. Providing people cover the costs i dont mind knocking out a batch .
