Throw it away and run your amp from your ipod. It's the way!

yer, i considered that, but i know nothing about sound systems, what speakers would fit in a 2cv, ive still got the originals, and one, the cone has gone so its all rickety and noisey and horrible,

what set up have people got then? i generally dont listen to the radio, i occasionally listen to the cd player, but i would like to use my ipod more, an amp would be suitable i geuss, but with low funds it would have to come from the sale of my cd player, are there *cheap systems aronud

*cheap but has to be cheerful

The first thing I do in any 2CV with any kind of music in it is toss it out and remove all traces it was ever there. The mechanical noises are enough for me.

I'm with russ I've recently bought a lead that goes from phone jack to RCA for the amp. I've got an amp for sale but it's a category D competition amp, prob a bit too big for what you want but it's got serious power.
If you want to keep your cd player you can also get a plastic case you can screw onto the dash, burton cars do them, I found one in a previous 2cv I had.

James, the less that's on display, the safer your car...

You already have an iPod? The amp/speakers above should give you all the sound you need.
