Post subject:  wiring question

im going to wire in a 12v ciagarete adapter thingy (to charge my phone and ipod in the car) and was after some suggestions as to where to creep a wire through the bulkhead to obtain a 12v source,

ive just wired in a new cd player, as i got a better one out my sisters car when she wrote it of last week!! and looking at the wire its not going to be thick enough to power both charger and cd player without over loading the wire..

as its the original wire for the original radio

i saw that i could creep it through via the hole for the speedo cable, but just want to know if theres any better places or bad implications of putting it through the speedo cable...
is there a way i can wire it into the fuse box to avoid having to buy a inline fuse and to make it tider, i have a spare look so could nick bits of if i really had to to get it into fuse box...

hope that makes sense

thanks :)

You should always try to send wire through existing holes preferably those that already have a rubber grommet to protect the wire. It should always be fused before it passes through the bulk head either from the correct side of the fuse box or with an in line fuse.

Its as good as any as there is usually a good rubber sleeve in there.
