I posted about how i sealed mine, with grease that was said to effect rubber

so im after anothe idea. I want a slightly more permanent method to do this,my vent flap doesnt seem to fit the car properly, the bottom right corner has a gap even when you reall tighten it down.. It leaked both sides and doing my grease seemed to stop it

is my vent flap buggered?
Someone was talking to me saying someone sells a slightly different desigb that doesnt leak...

Ideas please :)

Assuming its not in sunlight I've found copydex works well. It perishes very quickly if exposed to the sun though.

Is the ventflap straight? you could bend the outer corners a bit more inwards.

I think its bent yes

what just a fraction
would that stop it leaking? Seaprate to keep water out

going to buy a nice new seal soon

Is there any other way to stop water comin in?

i thought mine leaked, but i discovered water was entering through the wiper spindles and draining to each corner of the body giving the impression it was the vent flap. i used 2 robinsons squash lids to cure it..
ill explain lol, my old bleu celest leaked, but i thought id cover the wiper spindles 1st, get 2 of the same lids, put a hole through the middle of it and place over the spindle, replace the wiper arms and just put a small amount of silicone round it to seal it to the body! worked a treat for me!

not a bad idea,

well if you look at my vent flap, it doesnt close properly anywhere along the bottom, but my thinking was that surely i would just run down the vent flap anyway, but nope

any more ideas?
