hi just got my 1.55m CB aerial from the posty who looked very confused by the shape of it and iv been wondering where is the best place to put it?
these are my main 3 choices:

1. put the CB aerial where the current little aerial is


2. fit it to the corner of the bumper (but may whip people )
3. make an angled bracket and drill through the boot and place it on the bottom right hand corner of the boot (more professional approach)

I think the aerial needs to be up high to get the best from it. How about something like this attached to the top of your tailgate:

I always put my CB aerial on the gutter. 2cv gutters are a bit flimsy and it helps to use an extra reinforcing bracket, but Dyanes are fine with just a standard gutter mount kit like this - http://www.roadking.co.uk/cb-radio-acce ... 15003.html

On the beige/yellow-and-sunburst Dyane, I drilled and bolted it through the centre of the top of the passenger's front wing.

It's not hugely clear, but you can just about see it in this pic...

(it's dark red anodised)
