The push button on my acad drivers side door lock has broke. On removing the door panel I have noticed a small spring has broken and this is what returns the push button to it's original position. My problem is I can't seem to get the lock out of the door itself to have a proper look. Do I have to remove the whole window mechanism to get it out(it has posh wind windows). cheers ps all this hassle for a 20p spring ![]() |

Had the exact same problem on mine, Graham. The spring snapped & the button did nowt & i couldn't keep the door shut. I ended up drilling out the 2? pop rivets the hold the window channel to the frame, then removing the glass. I think the problem was i couldn't undo one of the two nuts that hold the handle to teh skin. Whether or not this is the best way to do it, i don't know! |
