stupid one i know, but in my old school manual (written on a type writier on 1988 it says plug number br6hs, and on ecas they sell b6hs, which one is right? or are they both the same or both right??

i know its a stupid question but just want to be sure i geuss.....

Those are essentially the same plug, in NGK speak the R stands for resistor. You don't need a resistor plug on a 2CV

James,
it depends on the combined resistance of the plugs + ignition leads.

If that's too high, you could encounter misfiring under high engine loads or poor starting with the resistor plugs...

p.s. If the shop will swap them, ask for B7HS ( or even B8HS if you drive the car hard)

cause they seem to work better, unleaded and ethanol and all that

ethanol? thats in easy start.... i dont use that, but ill get some b7hs tomorow (Well ill try)

its the "bio" content in newer better greener petrol

its what turns the fuel line rubber to bakelite and will eventually sissolve the brass jets in the carb, and with the other anti knock additives to replace the lead makes the fuel burn leaner(and cleaner?) by carrying Oxygen molecules in to the mix. hats why timing has to be reduced and cars that ran fine now pink

a set of my plugs pinked when i took them out, my car is an 88, if im not mistaken its always been fine on standard gas...l?
