I'd try taking it out of the speedo and refitting it, maybe it's not quite in right?

here's a man, and his Speedos.

East siiide hand gesture? and does that cross mean that he is part of the catholic church? because it would make a lot of sense if he is.

New, you say? Does the needle jump in sympathy? If so it sounds like it's kinked to me

I reckon it is more than just a lube issue, and better sorted sooner than later (each click could be more damage done, EEK).....If you do want to try lube though, use a graphite compound.....nothing does it better (used graphite for years on flex drive drills....1000's of hours and lots of stress and angulation, never wore a shaft out yet)

Best of luck,
Shane.

P.S.-That guy is definately a priest, I think that is the standard issue, beach dress no.2 banana hammock he's wearing, ........shudder

Doesn't a ticking mean the rear Gearbox bearing could be failing?
Mine did b4 it locked up in peak-hour and rammed the rod through the rear housing... I though it was well rooted but my 2cv man fixed it all with engine and gearbox still in car;)

was a ticking with an occasional fluter/bounce which i just thought was character...
