Where's the best (existing?) place to run a power cable through the front bulkhead.

I need to take the lead for my sub from the battery and I can't find a hole for the cable to go through.

Also, I was going to mount a modern blade fusebox under the parcel shelf to power 'accessories' like the CB radio, cigarette lighter, etc... I'm guessing it would be ok to run a cable from the battery to the box and then have other stuff like the above coming off the box?

I drilled a new hole for my powercable. For as far I know, there is no hole that you can use for a cable like that.
What size do you want to install? 10mm2, 25mm2, etc?

For the sub, the power cable is about 8mm, but if I drilled a new one I could also put the the cable through as well. Where's a good place to put it?

If it were me doing it I would just make the hole where the heater cable goes through bigger, that way if you ever want to take everything back out again you'll just have to bung abit of felt around the heater cable.

just mash a hole wit a screwy and pute the hose thu dat

thats what all the young uns do innit?

theres a hole either side of bulkead top corner, one will have the rear loom t'other may have a single sleeved wire for the courtesy light

or use a hole cutter and choose your place but remember to gromet it as there is real fire risk with those heavy draw cables

Blimey, how much power does it use? 25mm2 would take power for a small village :D

When young they seem to think bigger=better

ICE looks best when its attached to the end of something that resembles the garden hose

I'm going for something a little more subtle ;)

...for cranking the Mozart.... obviously.

In the cleaning process today, i found that my front left floor/sill is pretty shot. I can't help thinking I could have spent my money better than on a sub :(

In my years of car ownership, I've found that the moment I buy something unnecessary (as my dad would class it) for my car that something important breaks.

I used to have some Rockford Fosgate subs in an old car of mine - with a big amp and, as Sean puts it, a hose pipe sized power feed to it. Definitely put a fuse on the line, and a grommet on the hole.
