Post 2cv4 gearbox
How can I tell if a gearbox is from a 2cv4? are there any casting marks or numbers on the outside?

Russell,
for 'short spline' gearboxes, look at the input shaft, just forward of the splines.

If no marking, it's got 2CV ratios.
A single ring, Dyane/Ami ratios.
If two rings, that'll be what you're after... ;)
