when mounting an ARB (anti-roll bar) is it imperative to use the shims? I'm sure i heard that the racers didn't bother :?:

ARB?

edit
Duh Anti Roll Bar

no because when it rains we disconnect one side to disable

ARB out of fashion it seems more effort going into stiffer springs and dampers

one Scottish car uses one the other doesnt since the stiffer shell, chassis and springs a couple of years ago and all damped by some tricky ajustable HD dampers that were a safety recall. The flappy creaky hulk is now Spanners problem well the roof is all thats left by looks of it

Anti-roll bar.

I'd have thought the shims were fairly essential - but simple enough to make up, since they're just spacers between bar & arm end plate.
