Post Re: Engine,
James, how could you. Easy start. That defeats the whole object. If an engine will not start there is obviously something wrong.Find the fault, fix it,job done.Easy start just prolongs the agony. Will not have any in my workshop, never used it.

You've presumably seen his rear lights; yet still expect taste and judgement? :P

Post Re: Engine,
right got some numbers off the jets

2aa
1fe
82.5
thats what the 3 jets had written on them

anyway so after pinching the coil and leads and other bits off my car seems ive buggered the coil or something up as it now misses every now and again
although i think it couldbe the plugs as i alsoborrowedthese. i took the plugs out and cleaned them after it kept missing, and it is a bit better now, doesnt miss as often, so im thinking its down to plugs as especially as ive done alot of miles on this set and they look fairly worn..
typical it being a bank holiday, no where is open to get me some plugs, so will have to wait until tuesday or whenver i can pop into the shop to buy some
or order some from uncle, but no money in account :(

im going to try another set of ht leads tomorow on my way to work (my old ones which are fine but as un bendy as anything!!

we will see what happens
im hoping its plugs as these are new ht leads in the last few months,

when i took the plugs out i gave them a good clean with the wire brush, thats what seemed to make the difference
oh and the other wire that comes up witht he wire from the points box, what is that? that had come un plugged too, so plugged thatback in, dont know if thats got a dodgy connection or something...
