OK I accept I should have kept the receipt :!:

However £3.99 is a lot of money, you can still buy a pint with that around here :D

Seriously though it was the principal. It was a 3/8 torx on a standard handle. I was just tigtening up the fixing and it just broke. This was on the misses car and I was under pressure as she needed it for work. I then had to drive down in the van to swap it. Didnt think to take my wallet as I didnt think I needed it, got there the bloke I first spoke to was actually fine and was going to swap it, but just had to check with the manager. He eventually came along and would have nothing of it and went on about how he couldnt swap things like this every day of the week. Suggested I had brought it cheaply on ebay (I hadnt) and was quite rude when I maintained my calm. I took his name and actually its him I have more of an issue with than the tool.

The point I was making was that Bosch not only replaced somethng that was technically not under their guarantee because I hadnt registered it, but they then registered several other of their products, collected the tool, repaired it and returned it when it was me who broke it by dropping it off a 1st floor roof....which I had told them about. Where as Halfords just refused point blank and were actually rude about it.

Hmmm, yes, I can see that would be annoying. Shop staff being rude always is, especially when they're in the wrong.

That's not a welder.

In my daily work I use either one of these...

http://www.fronius.com/cps/rde/xchg/SID ... G_HTML.htm

Or the newer digital display version of this...

http://www.exapro.com/fronius-magic-wav ... e-pe97653/

Using anything else now feels like using one of those wanky Clarke/Aldi 80A gasless paperwieghts.

MagicWave, ActiveWave.

Admit, Russ. You've retrained as a hairdresser.
