We're out of synch
the no was for non stick tinware

Pete thats the stuff instead of just riveting it down, the pop rivets compress it too much and it buckles up, i made sort of lozenge shaped spreaders that held it all flat.

Ill do pictures of the next one but got brakes to sort out first

Quick question: How thick does this "silicone" sheet have to be? If you need it to be as thin as possible, you might prefer to use "baking sheet foil", which is very thin indeed, is coated with teflon, and is good for temps up to 260C. It feels like a sheet of plasticised paper. The silicone sheets are thicker and more rubbery.

I'll post up a pic if you think it would be of help.

Incidentally, I've seen both products in Lidl and Aldi recently.

thats the secret source busted then

and TKmax usually has a selection of rubber bakeware too

first one i did used thinner stuff, had the diaphragm held down with wire clips and it sucked like Hugh Grants "friend"
second used thicker stuff and had steel plates and pop rivets but i didnt test it.
have 5 towers to do over the next few days so will stick one on the blue thing and see what happens have to get a new gas bottle in the meantime though.

Sean,
Yep, had the problem with the rivets, tried small nuts and bolts, didnt test.
Current bit under test...spring steel....pop rivets go in holes.... all very, very fiddly

thats almost the same as i did

the blue steel is the same shape as i made, 4mm hole in the centre, these were then riveted over the silicone sheet where your more silvery metal was

much simpler and worked a treat.
i also normalise the flange and crimp it back over using either silicon or PU sealant.

just need to get some 27mm ID silicone pipe
