James,

You're asking about what to use, but you replied to a 3 page thread about suitable sealants just last week - although to be fair you seemed more interested in types of engine oil...

is there no way i can seal it up to prolong that?

where does the water get in? and surely if i drilled some drain holes somewhere to let it out?

if it gets in via the lights, if i sealed lights up surely thatll stop it?

so all in all its probably not a bad thing that the water is pissing out there anyway!?

Sadly no you can't do much. Damage done when the 2cv left the factory donkies years ago. It is something we all live with, we too will return to Mother earth no matter what we do.

Cheers

right so i got in the car, and there was the most biggest puddle ever, i had thought i had been clever, id put small coke bottles on edge of sills/matts to make it so the water collected on the matt, keeping the floors dry, there was so much it went over! doh

so had to bail the car out!!

anyway as suggested, its the bonnet hinge thing, so i have ordered some of that dum dum stuff, and hopefully ill get it sorted

Sure it isn't wiper spindles? Better down two bottles of Grolsch to make sure.

well i thought it might be, but i decided to seal them with windscreen sealent in my moment of madness just to rule them out as it was raining, so no way could of been there, im 99% sure that its coming in through where that crack is, as it sits there, and if i have a feel around, it is very wet about there inside the car, so must be!
