Post Re: Lumenition Instructions
Don't recall that one Ken. To be honest I have fitted upwards of 40 123 and their like ignition systems and only ever had one failure that I know of. The unit fitted to Janice's car I have had for about 8/9 years and its been on a few cars.
But don't tell anyone on this thread as they seem to be ganging up on me. I am expecting a card in the post with a black spot on it any day now. :?

602 - don't worry it  It's good to have so many opinions so that we can make our own choice. That's why I've been put off 123 & jumped at the chance of Lumi, especially as it was virtually free. I may well find that it is crap, and then I'll have my own opinion on it :?

Wot he said ^^^^ ;)
btw .....I still worry about it ....
Like that I still carry a points box, points, condensor & timing rod in my boot .....even though the "Lummie" has given me nearly 14 trouble free years on my car.
Belt & Braces ....   :?:
A photocopied set of instructions are on the way to Bertie's via 1st class "snail-mail" .. ;)
btw ..... a "Man who knows more about 2CV's than I'll ever know" reckons the best [only :!: ] way to set up "Lummie" timing is with a strobe.

T. ;)

I assume timing's done the same way as points then ie. make a mark with the static timing hole & adjust for 7 teeth at full advance?
