That's a wicked idea. I reckon paint it white first off the car, then when it's running throw a few different colours at it for a far out hippy effect!

It'll probably cover most of the area you're doing it in too...

Might be as well to either use the Black & Decker instead of the engine - or cover the oil cooler...

i mar just do a white background with splatters of red (miniscuale splatters)

or either gunna do it when spinning, better whip out the old black and deck..
